How can you not love Carrey Mulligan in this role? She is talking to a DVD, she meets a guy who is at one point young, then dying a couple of hours later as an old man. Her best friend disappears and then she meets said best friend’s grandchild. BECAUSE THE BEST FRIEND IS DEAD. In this one episode the Doctor was a scarce character but Sally made up for that. to be fair I was saddened that she didn’t become a new companion.
